Alice Watts joined Ladies Circle GB&I in 2013 as a member of Lichfield Ladies Circle. After a move to Cheshire in 2021, she became a founding member of Chester Ladies Circle. At the same time she joined the National Exec as Secretary and then stood as Vice President in 2025.

Alice is delighted to become National President for Ladies Circle GB&I in 2026 – the association’s 90th anniversary year.

Alice’s theme for the year is ‘Find Your Voice’ – something she hopes to encourage all Circlers to do throughout her time in post. The meaning behind the theme is threefold:

  • ‘Find Your Voice’ to discover the confidence within yourself
  • ‘Find Your Voice’ to speak up for things you believe in
  • ‘Find Your Voice’ to talk to others about Ladies Circle

Because the only way to ‘Find Your Voice’ is to use it

Alice’s chosen charity for the year is King’s Trust who are celebrating their 50 year anniversary this year.

Alice wanted to choose a charity that supports her theme – to give people a voice and the confidence to go out into the world and be the brightest stars they can be. She always wanted to run her own business, but didn’t have the confidence to actually do it until she was 35 and this charity helps young people get started long before that!

In the UK today, young people are facing the struggle of growing up against a backdrop of great instability, economic challenge and a rapidly changing world of work. The King’s Trust helps young people aged 11-30 to develop essential life skills, work readiness and access to job opportunities to secure sustainable employment and self-employment.
